11th May 2013 - Baddiley locks to Bunbury

Dry to start with today - until we got to Hurleston Locks.  The Lock Keeper decided we were quite capable of getting down the flight on our own and retired indoors.  Soon found ourselves at Barbridge junction where we topped up with water and watch the qualifying for the Spanish GP.  The rain came on again as we set off after lunch and moving towards Bunbury locks there was horizontal hail.  The umbrella had to be dispensed with in case it shot inside out in the wind, so we moored up and went below to dry off.

Ended up staying here the night.  Went as pleasant walk in the (now dry) evening to reccy the staircase locks.

Reccied the Bunbury staircase for the morning

Bunbury still retains its stables for the horse drawn fly-boats
